Beefsteak - Tomato
Origin: Native to the Andes region of Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru
Colour: Bright red
Flavour: Classic tomato flavour, however, depending upon the variety, they can also be sweet to the taste.
Uses: Juice, making them ideal to use as a base for fresh sauces and dips.
Fruit shape: Oblate, or slightly flattened
Yield: 500 – 900g tomatoes.
Growth: 160cm tall
Conditions: As for all tomato plants, provide beefsteaks with well-drained fertile soil that is high in organic matter.
